PEI Seniors Housing Program
Many seniors find that their housing needs change over time. Some find their income is less than in earlier years, making housing hard to afford. Others may find it difficult to maintain their own home.
In recognition of these needs, the federal and provincial governments provide funding for building and maintaining seniors housing projects. There are 1,113 Seniors Housing units located in 32 communities across PEI, including 14 units in Crapaud.

Seniors Safe @ Home Program
A province-wide program, the new Seniors Safe @ Home Program will help Island seniors make the modifications necessary to ensure they are safe and healthy in their own homes and enable them to maintain independence.
The new Seniors Safe @ Home Program allows Islanders who own their own homes to access a lifetime grant of up to $5,000. The grant amount is determined based on income. To qualify for the grant, the modifications must support seniors aged 60 and over in their everyday activities.
