Located on the Trans-Canada Highway, 15 minutes east of the Confederation Bridge the Rural Municipality of Crapaud is a popular way-station for many travelers after a long day on the road. Home to the annual mid-summer Crapaud Exhibition and Provincial Tractor Pull Championships, Crapaud offers visitors the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the rural traditions and agricultural background of the surrounding region. Named for the unmistakable call of the Spring Peeper Frog, Crapaud was one of the first incorporated villages on Prince Edward Island and boasts a population of approximately 345 residents.
