Are You on the Voters List?
If you are new to Crapaud it's likely that you are not on the Voter's List for the upcoming Municipal Election on Nov. 5th. You may vote if you are:
1. at least 18 years of age,
2. a Canadian citizen
3. have lived in Prince Edward Island for the last six months immediately preceding the date of the election, Nov. 5th, 2018, and
4. are ordinarily resident in the municipality of Crapaud on election day.
Electors can register or update their information with their MEO from October 16th to October 23rd, 2018 at 11:59 am. Contact the MEO by email: email@example.com or phone 902-658-2558
After 12:00 pm on October 23rd, 2018 there can be no additions or revisions to the list of electors.
If you are not registered as an elector, but are eligible to vote, you will need to register at your polling station on a voting day (either the advance poll day - November 3rd, or on election day - November 5th, 2018).

Notice of Nomination Proceedings
Public notice is hereby given to the electors of the Rural Municipality of Crapaud that a Municipal Election will be held on November 5th, 2018 to elect the Mayor and 6 Councillors for the Rural Municipality of Crapaud for the term of office terminating on the 6th day of the
month that follows the next general election.
The nomination period for the council positions noted above commences on October 10th, 2018 and closes at 2:00 pm on Nomination Day on October 19th, 2018.
Nominations shall only be received during office hours at the election office, located at 20424 TCH, Crapaud, PEI.
The election office hours shall be:
3:30PM-6:30PM Tuesday, October 9, 2018;
5PM-8PM Thursday, October 11, 2018;
5PM-8PM Thursday, October 18, 2018;
and 9AM-2PM Friday, October 19, 2018.

CRAPAUD CITIZEN/VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR AWARD
Congratulations to Ruth Walsh, winner of the 2018 Citizen/Volunteer Award! Nominated by Joanne Harvey, Ruth has been volunteering with several local organizations for many years. The award was presented at the Community BBQ on Friday July 27th.
CRAPAUD COMMUNITY COUNCIL AWARD WINNER
Congratulations to Jennifer Stewart, this year's recipient of the Crapaud Council Award at Bluefield High School. Of all the applications received, Jennifer's was by far the best, listing her top marks and many volunteer positions in the community. Jennifer will receive her award during graduation ceremonies at Bluefield High School.
Crapaud Walk-In Clinic adds Nurse Practitioner!
The Crapaud Walk-In Clinic, located in the South Shore Pharmacy, opened its doors on January 23rd. Clinic hours are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
In addition, a Nurse Practitioner is available by appointment all day on Wednesdays. (Formerly Mondays)
It is recommended before you set out that you call first or check the South Shore Health & Wellness Inc. Face Book page on the day of your visit to make sure the doctor is in.
